A fondation in Ethiopia :

On Behalf of Bishop Beranehyesus D. Souraphiel, Archbishop of Addis Ababa, the Community of St. John has founded a new priory in Ethiopia in September 2009.

A foundation of the Community means first of all a foundation of a religious community of brothers. The main intention is to have in the diocese a community able to welcome all the people that would like to join the brothers for prayer and adoration.

Our apostolic involvment :

It is also an opportunity for the brothers to give teachings, conferences, retreats, not only in Addis-Abeba City, but for all the Archdiocese, which is above 260.000 sq/km.

Trough our presence, the Archbishop has also asked us a specific mission in taking care of youth coordination of the Archdiocese. Two of us have been appointed to work in the Archdiocesan Catholic Secretary (ACS) for this purpose.
